Groove Portfolio of Brands · Baltimore, MD

Content & Marketing Operations Manager

About the Role

We're looking for a versatile Content & Marketing Operations Manager who can keep our content engine running, coordinate freelance contributors, build in HubSpot, and operate our in-house video studio. This role sits at the intersection of marketing execution and production—you'll be the person who makes sure content gets created, scheduled, and shipped on time while also being comfortable behind a camera.

At Groove Commerce, our content exists to drive a specific outcome: getting the right people to request our book, book a consultation, and ultimately engage with us as a client. You'll understand that funnel and treat lead magnet performance and consultation bookings as the metrics that matter—not just content volume.

You'll work across our portfolio of brands: Groove Commerce, The B2B eCommerce Agency; The Baltimore Podcast Company, our done-for-you podcast production membership; and Groove Workspace, a premium private office and coworking suite in Cross Keys. No two weeks will look the same.

What You'll Do

Content Scheduling & Operations
  • Own and maintain the master content calendar across our portfolio of brands with a primary focus on The B2B eCommerce Agency

  • Coordinate deadlines, assets, and approvals with freelance writers, designers, and editors

  • Keep projects on track using project management tools and clear communication

  • Repurpose content across formats—turning podcast episodes into blog posts, social clips, and email copy

HubSpot Marketing Execution
  • Build and deploy marketing emails and automated workflows in HubSpot

  • Create and publish landing pages tied to campaigns, book launches, and events

  • Maintain contact lists, segment audiences, and support basic CRM hygiene

  • Pull performance reports and surface insights to inform future campaigns

Video & Podcast Production
  • Operate our in-house video camera and audio setup for podcast recording sessions

  • Record episodes for Groove Commerce's own shows as well as client sessions for The Baltimore Podcast Company

  • Coordinate guest scheduling, pre-production prep, and session logistics

  • Hand off raw footage and audio files to editors with clear notes

Studio & Event Support
  • Help set up and break down the studio for client recording days and events

  • Maintain equipment inventory and flag any technical issues

  • Support in-person events at Groove Workspace in a content capture capacity

  • Play a key role in content production for The B2B eCommerce Summit, our annual invite-only flagship event for manufacturers and distributors

What We're Looking For

Must-Have
  • 2+ years of experience in a marketing, content, or media production role

  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot (email builder, landing pages, workflows)

  • Comfort operating a camera and audio gear in a studio or podcast setting

  • Strong project management instincts—you're the kind of person who builds the checklist

  • Excellent written communication and ability to write or edit short-form content

  • Reliable, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities without heavy oversight

Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with B2B marketing or professional services content

  • Familiarity with video editing software (Premiere, DaVinci, CapCut, or similar)

  • Background in podcast production or audio post-processing

  • Experience coordinating freelance teams or creative contractors

  • Exposure to LinkedIn content strategy or thought leadership campaigns

Compensation

  • $65,000 - $80,000 / year depending on applicant experience for a full-time role

  • This role is available for a full-time or part-time candidate, depending on experience

The Environment

You'll be based at our studio and office inside Groove Workspace at Cross Keys—a high-end private office suite in North Baltimore with a professionally equipped recording studio, event space, and easy access to hotel and restaurant amenities on-site. It's a focused, creative environment without the noise of a large open office.

This is a small, tight-knit team. You'll work directly with the founder and have real visibility into how the business runs. If you want to grow into broader marketing or operations ownership over time, there's a clear path to do that here.
